Centralized Procurement (One Stop Shop) and Logistics
SAREL was founded in 1995 under a Government Decree by the nonprofit Society of Public Hospitals to serve as a Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) to government hospitals and all MOH organizations. SAREL’s state-of-the-art logistic center is located in the center of the country. Distribution systems are designed to deliver from company’s and suppliers inventories directly to the customer’s warehouse and end-users points throughout the country. SAREL’s product catalogue includes over 50,000 items. SAREL has 115 employees, and 2009 revenue reached 846 million NIS . A highly skilled, multi-disciplinary staff, a reservoir of professional and commercial knowhow and extensive experience; a comprehensive Quality Assurance System and centralized procurement – enable SAREL to offer customers a wide range of quality products from Israeli and international manufacturers, at best prices and highest availability.
SAREL in Emergencies and Wartime
Being an Approved Emergency Establishment, SAREL warehouses are available on 24/7 basis during wartime and peace to fully comply with health system requirements by providing emergency supplies of medicines and medical equipment.
Supply-Chain Management
SAREL operates centralized computerized customers’ service and orders management, inventory control, storage and orders, climate control, and efficient distribution and transport systems, enabling the company to supply end-user customers with products on a “just in time” basis at the best price and highest level of service. Inventory control at the point of use, uses a unique advanced B2B system and customer interface (based on SAP’s CRM) and a suppliers’ system portal. A computerized storage and distribution system at departmental level has been installed by SAREL in hospitals, and assists customers in lowering operational costs, by reducing inventory with workforce savings for managing inventory, orders and tenders.
