SAREL’s strategically-located logistics and distribution center provides hospitals and clinics with a wide range of healthcare-related products and services, from a broad selection of Israeli and overseas manufacturers. The company handles over 48,000 items, serving roughly 50% of Israel’s hospital beds. SAREL employs a staff of 110 employees and in 2007, achieved a turnover exceeding NIS 684 million. Incorporated in 1995 by the nonprofit Society of Public Hospitals, comprising of 11 university medical centers & institutions as a privately held company to serve as a Group Purchasing Organization for general medical centers, mental health care and geriatric centers, MOH public health, emergency services, and others.
Based on multi-disciplinary professional expertise, experience and buying power, SAREL is able to achieve economies of scale, which are passed on to the customer, supplying a complete range of all hospitals' requirements, from simple beds to the most advanced medical equipment.

SAREL operates centralized computerised Customers` Service and Orders management, inventory control and monitoring systems from its central warehouse to hospital bed level, application of just-in-time standards, dynamic storage spaces, climatically controlled warehousing, and efficient dispatch of products to end-users.helping its customers reduce their operational costs, and spare them the need to maintain large inventories and waste valuable time on non-core activities.
